I just sent two of these books to my friends Jim and Mary Ruff. They were really taken with the Sansula, and I remember playing guitar in their house while they took turns improvising on the Sansula as the chords flowed under their music. It hit me: this is what I need to put into a book/CD for the Sansula. And I did.
When I was working on the Sansula book, I told people that this book would redefine the meaning of "book" on the Kalimba Magic book shelf. Well, the book is now available, and it certainly does set a high standard for future books in our catalog.
The Sansula book, Playing the Sansula, is the most beautiful book Kalimba Magic has ever put out. It had to be, to reflect the stunning beauty of this instrument. The book is 96 pages and comes with a CD.
In the Ask Mark column in this month's newsletter, you can get a small taste of this new book. In Ask Mark, I address two questions that I've been getting a lot lately: What is the difference between the different Sansula tunings? and What is the difference between Sansula models? I answer those questions by extracting words and photos from the new book and borrowing a few tracks from the CD - so you can hear the difference between types and tunings of the Sansula for yourself.
You can also get an idea of the breadth of the new Sansula book by looking at the table of contents below:
The Sansula book (with CD) is now available for $24 at the Kalimba Magic Shop.
