Thursday, December 4, 2008 Last week we looked at Variation 1 of my first karimba song. This week we look at a second variation.
In these two variations, the right thumb is always on the down beat. The 1 and the 5 of the G minor chord are presented on the down beats in the first two measures. The 3 of the G minor chord is the Bb which is played on the left side, so the two sides do work together to create arpegiated chords. The 1 and the 3 of he D minor chord are presented on the down beats in the last two measures. The 5 of the D minor chord is A, which is played twice on the left side.
