Free Form Recording

When you are doing free form recording, the overarching emotional pulse is what you are trying to keep time with. This means that the beats come and go as required, not as the clock requires.

The notes come and go in ther own time. To do this well requires superior musical mastery and comfort on the instrument. This particular piece is played through an effects processor to enhance the natural kalimba sound, but that is a different issue altogether.
