Description

Two Hugh Tracey Alto kalimbas and two Hugh Tracey Treble kalimbas, in whatever keys you need them.

Have you ever seen a good harmonica player at a music jam? He’ll have several harmonicas, one for each key.

At jams, music parties, and even rehearsals, I used to keep my Alto kalimba nearby, waiting for a song to come back to the key of G. Sometimes I would quickly retune from G to C, but I would miss part of the song, and then my kalimba would be in a tuning other than what I was accustomed to. Another alternative was to figure out which notes on my kalimba worked and which ones didn’t work for a particular song – which could leave me with 3, 4, 5 or 6 notes that worked well – a non-optimal situation!

Now, when I go to a music jam, I bring four kalimbas in different keys – say G, A, C, and D. I’m not covered for every key, but I am ready for many songs.

And I am extending this keyed kalimba collection concept to you! Tell me which keys you need, and we’ll work together to come up with a set of tunings that works for your music. We’ll retune for free, and this package deal is giving you four kalimbas for less than the price of three.

If you want to play these kalimbas all together in a group, you probably want them to be all in the same key – you probably want them in G. But if you play with other musicians a lot, your music will go a lot farther if you have access to the different keys they are playing in.

We paint the tines in a system that makes them “look and feel” like the standard G Alto setup – watch the associated VIDEO to understand this system. It permits you to pick up any of these four kalimbas and play a melody you learned on one of them, seemlessly.

The KeyMaster – a wonderful deal for you, available ONLY from Kalimba Magic!
