The Moon-10 is a new (2020) kalimba from Magadi. A solid resonant block “floats” on the goat skin membrane to produce a rich and resonant sound.
This one is in the Silver Moon tuning – C diatonic, starting on C. What that means: I have changed the tuning on this one to make it very intuitive to playing a bunch of songs you know.
The Moon-10 comes with a black padded case to keep it protected on your travels, and a tablature-based 24-page color manual to help you on your kalimba journey. The Moon-10 Kalimba, in “Silver Moon” tuning (C major DIATONIC scale, with a low note of C), is perhaps the most intuitive of the Moon-10 tunings. It has the same notes as the Spiral-10 and Heart-10 10-note kalimbas, and there are quite a few songs you can play on it – second only to the Golden Moon tuning for the number of songs it plays.
