Home > Ask Dr. Kalimba - pending > Hello Mr. Dr. Kalimba Man Sir, I have a very musically-inclined friend I want to buy a gift for. She’s a talented musician who plays primarily piano and guitar, but loves playing any instrument put in her hands. She plays anything from classical to rock, and she doesn’t have a kalimba. I’d love to buy one for her, but I’m having trouble choosing. It seems the chromatics are the best option when it comes to greatest diversity of music (I’m sure she’s up for the challenge). I know NOTHING about music, so I need your help. Would you recommend the chromatic alto or chromatic treble, with the goal being greatest possible amount of playable songs? I know the treble has more notes, but I don’t know if that necessarily means more musical range. Thanks in advance for your help!
