The New Kalimba House/Room

Wow, it’s finally here! It’s really happening, and it’s not a dream. From preparing the garage and a room in the house to receive the kalimbas, to the receiving of kalimbas and getting to meet Mark Holdaway (the founder of Kalimba Magic aka Kalimba Wizard) and Mike Ankomeus (Kalimba Doctor) was such an awesome experience. The nervousness of not really understanding of what to expect to the confidence I can do this. The time that Mark and Mike both have spent with me and training me on the how-to’s and advice are greatly cherished.

Family with open drinks in the kalimba room stepped out and found a surprise note on the doorway “No food in the Kalimba Room per order of outgoing kalimba czar” after having an open can of pop. To hearing a nightmare of the mess that could be caused by a drink spilling and landing on kalimbas or on the computer. Lesson learned, heed to the advice of the Kalimba Wizard, it could cause many problems that are 100% preventable.

The lessons taught by Mike with the hands-on training was awesome and has given me great ideas of things I can do like, figuring out how to run the business efficiently with the setting up of the Kalimba Room to possibly maybe later building my own form of Kalimba with my background in carpentry, and when I retire from the union I now know what I can do to keep myself busy and that is doing things I love, which is, working with my hands.
